---+!! CIMA
%TOC% ---+ Introduction [[http://www.cima-collaboration.org][CIMA]] is a collaboration ---++ Prostate Probe CIMA is currently exploring the possibility of making silicon probes. Those probes, in which the gamma is mainly detected by its Compton interaction with silicon can find many application in medical imaging. One particular case is a Compton Prostate Probe.

There are a number of publications on this subject and also a thesis. * Gabriela's [[http://ific.uv.es/~llosa/CC/PhDThesis_GLlosa.pdf][thesis]] * Contributions to conferences * IEEE NSS-MIC 2005: ([[%PUBURLPATH%/%WEB%/MaterialCIMA/Probe-ieee-2005.pdf][slides]], [[%PUBURLPATH%/%WEB%/MaterialCIMA/probe_proc.pdf][Conf. Record]]) *

---++ TAB Tape Automated Bonding is one of the technologies we are exploring in order to encapsulate properly sensors and their associated electronics in order to build silicon probes. Below you can find a series of documents describing the work made on this. * [[%PUBURLPATH%/%WEB%/MaterialCIMA/unfold-crrc.pdf][Report]] on first module * [[%PUBURLPATH%/%WEB%/MaterialCIMA/TAB-module2.pdf][Report]] on second module * Contributions to conferences * IEEE NSS-MIC 2005: ([[%PUBURLPATH%/%WEB%/MaterialCIMA/Poster-TAB.pdf][poster]], [[%PUBURLPATH%/%WEB%/MaterialCIMA/tab_proc.pdf][Conf. Record]]) * IEEE NSS-MIC 2008: ([[%ATTACHURL%/TABPoster2008.pdf][TABPoster.pdf]], [[%ATTACHURL%/PaperIEEE08.pdf][PaperIEEE08.pdf]]) ---++ Tests * [[%ATTACHURL%/vatagp3p.pdf][Tests on VATAGP3-1]] * [[%ATTACHURL%/First_Performance_Results_from_a_Real_Size_Silicon_Pad_Sensor_Module_for_a_Small_Animal_Micro_PET.doc][Tests on 8-chip module]] * [[%ATTACHURL%/report_on_TAB_Bonded_detector_1.doc][Tests os 2nd TABed module at CERN]] ---++ Software Lastest version of the code for the acquisition program can be found in [[http://sourceforge.net/projects/daqpp][]] Contributions to conferences: * IEEE RT2007: * DAQ++ poster ([[%ATTACHURL%/DAQ++-poster.pdf][pdf]], [[%ATTACHURL%/DAQ++-poster.jpg][jpg]], [[%ATTACHURL%/DAQ++-poster.odp][Open Office]]) * DAQ++ slides ([[%ATTACHURL%/DAQ++-slides.pdf][pdf]], [[%ATTACHURL%/DAQ++-slides.odp][Open Office]]) ---++ How to get to IFIC Find [[http://maps.google.es/maps/ms?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&om=0&msa=0&msid=116320440239480553785.0004444f43d70a6015e5e&ll=39.483773,-0.38435&spn=0.094465,0.137329&z=13][here]] a map with the location of our institute. A shared taxi can be a good option. However you should avoid _rush hours_. Unfortunately, IFIC is in a street with no name, so you will need to show the taxi driver the map showing where the institute is. A good hint is to tell them it is by the local TV building. The best way to arrive to IFIC is using the subway (metro). You can find [[%ATTACHURL%/plano_metro.pdf][here]] a map of the metro network in Valencia. Each hotel in the map above gives suggestions for the best metro line to take. In any case, your final stop is TVV in line 4 (blue in the metro map) Note: When taking line number 4, watch carefully the destination and *never* take _Fira_. The easiest is to take either _Mas del Rosari_ or _Llarga Terramelar_. If you take _Vicent A. Estelles_ you will need to walk a little bit to get to IFIC (see the map). The picture shows the institute as seen from TVV metro stop.
View Larger Map -- Main.CarlosLacasta - 27 Oct 2008
