FDR2 Alignment using the GlobalChi2 Alignment Algorithm

Geometry

The selection of the Nominal or the Perfect setup is done via IOVDbSvcGlobalTag:

• Nominal Setup (Tuned ES - ES04): IOVDbSvcGlobalTag = 'CMCCOND-CSC-00-00-00'
• Perfect Setup (Nominal ES - ES00): IOVDbSvcGlobalTag = 'CMCCOND-CSC-00-01-00'
• Perfect Setup (Tuned ES - ES01): IOVDbSvcGlobalTag = 'CMCCOND-CSC-00-01-01'

Preliminary Validation

Collision data: Validation of single particle BS

We used the following file for testing purposes:

/castor/cern.ch/user/b/bvendapi/FDR2_Pi/BS_files/CalibStream/CSC.007422.singlepart_singlepi_pt10_50_Calib_5000_2.data

In principle, the file contains 5k events from a single pion simulation with pT=[10,50] GeV/c and eta=[-3.0,3.0]. Due to the eta range generation some pions couldn't be reconstructed in the ID, so this is the reason why this files contains 3983 events (events without reconstructed tracks are not recorded) instead of 5000. The release used has been 14.1.0 and the additional tags used to get these results are in the following file: .

1. Collision data: Validation of single particle BS

In principle, the sample contains around 300k events and they come from a single pion simulation with pT=[10,50] GeV/c and eta=[-2.5,2.5]. The list of files used to get the numbers and the plots is here: . Each file should have 5k events. The release used has been 14.1.0 and the additional tags used to get these results are in the following file: .
