Outreach at FLAVIAnet

Science, and in particular physics, does not raise the interest of the general public as much as it should, considering the challenging questions it adresses to Nature and its far-reaching impact on everybody's life and environment. To raise the public awareness of particle physics and help increase the attractiveness of science among students, Flavianet will put forward a series of outreach activities.

Activities at Flavianet conferences

During the 2nd Flavianet general meeting in Orsay in Nov 2007 (http://www.th.u-psud.fr/EF07), a colloquium organised jointly with the French Physical Society took place. Advertised among researchers and schools, this conference was given by a physicist of the network to explain the history and goals of particle physics.
